Staff network
Could you start a SEEN staff/employee network in your council?
Not all councils have a procedure in place for getting a staff network started, so if yours doesn’t have one we have a PowerPoint introduction (and PDF version) that can help you get started.

Report council policies
The government is now aware that some public bodies might currently be misinterpreting the law on providing single-sex spaces or services, and they want to hear about it.
They are calling for staff to report their organisation if their policies are falling short of the law in this way. Their call for input covers Great Britain and is open for 8 weeks from 1 May to 26 June 2024.
What they want:
- A separate report for each example
- A link to the policy or a copy that you can upload
- Answer a few questions about it
Read the call details and start gathering evidence: Call for input: Incorrect guidance on single-sex spaces and gender self-identification
Put up posters at work
We have a few versions of posters that can be downloaded and printed out – could you put some up in your workplace?
